デンマーク×日本！留学生の1年間留学生体験記

 I have always been interested in Japan. I think it started when I was a little kid and saw Dragon Ball on TV. At that time, I didn’t really know that it originated from Japan.

私はずっと日本に興味を持っていました。それは、私が子供の頃にテレビでドラゴンボールを見たときから始まったと思います。当時、それが日本のものであることなど知りませんでした。

Also, both of my siblings went (my sister went to Canada, and my older brother went to the USA.) on exchange as well and made so many good memories, so I wanted to do the same.

また、私の姉はカナダに、兄はアメリカに交換留学へ行っており、多くの素晴らしい思い出を作っていたので、私も同じことをしたいと思いました。

I chose to go to Japan instead of going to Canada or USA, because I had heard that Japan is a very respectful and kind country with a lot of interesting culture and traditions, so I wanted to challenge myself and wanted to try new things.

That’s why I chose to go to Japan.

日本は非常に礼儀正しく、おもいやりのある国で、興味深い文化と伝統がたくさんあると聞いており、私は新しいことに沢山挑戦し、全く異なる文化や言語について学びたかったので、日本に行くことを決めました。

When I was staying in Japan, I learned a lot about culture and Japanese language.

Especially Hadaka Matsuri was very fun to watch.

When I get older, I will go to Japan again and want to participate in Hadaka Matsuri.

特に思い出に残っている日本の伝統文化は、国府宮の裸祭りです。それは見ていて非常に楽しかったです。年を取ったら、再び日本に行って裸祭りにぜひ参加したいと思っています。

そして、日本では難しい日本語を学び、学校生活などを通して自己を成長させることができました。余談ですが、私は寿司が大好きで、日本滞在中に11キログラム体重が増えました。笑

I have many great memories in Taisei. I think I mostly enjoyed having PE class with my fellow classmates. They were always very supportive and made my time in Taisei very fun.

大成での思い出やエピソード：大成ではたくさんの素晴らしい思い出があります。私はクラスメートとの体育の授業を楽しんでいました。彼らは常に私をサポートし、大成での時間を楽しくしてくれました。

Something I also have a very great memory of is the Sports Festival(Studea Festa). We don’t have this event in my school in Denmark, so it was really fun to be a part of it. We also had to make a play which we had to perform in front of the whole students, and every class made some very fun and interesting plays.

また、ステューディアフェスタ（文化祭・体育祭）の思い出も非常に素晴らしいものです。デンマークにはこのイベントはないので、それに参加できて本当に楽しかったです。また、学校全体の前で演じる劇を作る必要があり、各クラスが非常に楽しくて面白い劇を作りました。

I remember going to Universal Studios(as a field trip) as well. There were a lot of people when we went there, so the waiting line was a bit long, but I still had an amazing time thanks to the nice students around me.

ユニバーサル・スタジオに行ったことも覚えています。行ったときには多くの人がいたので、待ち時間は少し長かったですが、周りの素晴らしい生徒のおかげで、とても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

I was also very lucky to have cooking classes where we made some traditional Japanese food. Japanese food is so delicious, and I miss it every day  ;(.

また、家庭科の授業で伝統的な日本料理を作る機会もありました。日本料理は本当に美味しく、デンマークに戻っても、毎日その美味しい日本食を思い出します。

Japanese schools seem very strict sometimes and very exhausting, which can be very tough sometimes.

日本の学校はデンマークの学校に比べると厳しく、時には長い学校時間で疲れることもあります。そんな大成の一生懸命勉強、生活する生徒たちに僕は多くの尊敬の念を抱いています。

I have a lot of respect for all the hardworking students at Taisei. I also want to give a special thanks to all the nice teachers and students who were so kind and patient with us exchange students. You all made my exchange year a wonderful time that I will never forget.

また、私たち交換留学生に親切で忍耐強くサポートしてくださった素敵な先生と生徒に最高の感謝を申し上げます。皆さんが私の交換留学を素晴らしい時間にしてくれました。
